How you will make an impact:
The Payroll Tax Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations and accurately processing payroll taxes for the organization. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of payroll tax administration, including tax withholding, filing tax returns, and remitting tax payments to federal, state, and local tax authorities. This role stays up-to-date on tax laws and regulations, conducts tax research as needed, and addresses any tax-related inquiries or issues from internal stakeholders or tax authorities. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll tax regulations, and proficiency in payroll software are essential for success in this role. Additionally, effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other payroll and finance team members are important for ensuring accurate and timely tax processing.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-state payroll tax processing
Minimum of 2years of experience working in federal, state, and local tax laws
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MasterTax, HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
PEO or HR Shared Services is highly desirable
