Payroll & Operations Specialist
Form Health is a virtual obesity medicine clinic delivering multi-disciplinary evidence-based obesity treatment through telemedicine. Obesity impacts more than 40% of the US adult population, and although historically only about 1% of patients received medical treatment for their disease, the field of Obesity Medicine is entering a period of rapid growth. Form Health provides high-quality expert care and leverages technology to enhance the patient experience. All Form Health patients work closely with their care team, which includes board certified physicians, advanced practice professionals and Registered Dietitians. Through our proprietary mobile app patients engage in regular video visits, as well as text messaging, photo journaling, digital data transmission, and customized educational materials. About the Role:
The Payroll & Operations Specialist will own payroll administration, benefits/leave administration and support a range of operational People and Finance processes. This role bridges HR, Finance, and Compliance —ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, while also helping scale operational processes that support a high-growth healthcare organization. The position can be fully remote and will report directly to our VP of People.
What you will do:
Payroll Administration
Process biweekly/semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including clinicians, hourly staff, and corporate team members
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits contributions
Maintain payroll system data integrity and manage updates for new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes
Partner with TriNet and Finance on payroll reporting, reconciliations, and compliance support
Serve as the first point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues promptly and with care
People Operations & Finance Support
Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and audits
Assist with compliance reporting (ACA, workers’ comp, state and federal labor laws)
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Clinical Operations on workforce data needs
Streamline and improve payroll and HR operations processes to increase efficiency and scalability
Support ad hoc administrative projects aligned with the needs of Finance/Accounting leadership
Compliance & Process Excellence
Stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll/tax laws, particularly in multi-state healthcare employment
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry-specific requirements (e.g., credentialing, licensure, and timekeeping standards)
Support audits and reporting requirements as needed
About You:
3-5+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR/people operations
Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems (specifically TriNet)
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax requirements.
High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-stage company a plus
Preference for candidates who are based in the Boston area and able/willing to work out of the office periodically
