On-Platform Marketing Manager
Job Overview:
At Coursera, our Marketing and Communications team drives brand development, product marketing, PR, and acquisition and retention marketing for learners, enterprises, and university partners. The team is structured into four key areas: Consumer Marketing, Degree Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, and PR & Communications. Marketers play a critical role in accelerating the global growth and market share of both our Consumer and Enterprise businesses through innovative programs that attract, retain, and expand relationships across all segments.
As the On-Platform Marketing Manager for WES (web enabled sales), you’ll be a key contributor to the On-Platform Marketing Team, collaborating with Demand Generation Marketing, Product Marketing, CRM, and Product teams to develop and scale our Enterprise self-serve offering. Your work will focus on experimenting with and optimizing various marketing programs and product-led strategies.
You have a proven ability to build and execute a roadmap of growth initiatives across product and marketing surfaces within a software or technology company. You bring strong analytical skills, confidently manage complex cross-functional projects, and thrive in a data-informed, creative, and collaborative environment. You value flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a full-funnel marketing strategy to scale Coursera for Teams (WES), improving conversion through PLG-driven acquisition and integration with Coursera’s broader Enterprise direct sales strategy
Drive experimentation and optimization across the self-serve funnel, using A/B testing, analytics, and customer insights to refine positioning, messaging, and product-led marketing programs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Growth, Sales, CRM, and Paid Marketing) to integrate self-serve and enterprise demand generation efforts, ensuring a seamless customer journey from acquisition to retention
Leverage data and insights to analyze funnel performance, identify key drop-off points, and implement scalable marketing interventions that increase conversion and revenue
Launch targeted marketing initiatives—including personalized content experiences, in-product promotions, and email automation—to improve engagement, activation, and expansion in the self-serve channel
Own inbound and self-service revenue targets, define key success metrics, forecast performance, and continuously optimize for growth
Basic Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in growth marketing and/or demand marketing with multiple growth channels
3+ years of experience with SaaS products in high-volume businesses and a fast-growth environment
Experience using hypothesis-driven testing to optimize acquisition and conversion
Experience working cross-functionally in a distributed organization to plan, build, and execute projects
Experience developing business recommendations using qualitative and quantitative insights
Hands-on data analysis experience with BI platforms, data modeling, conversion-rate-optimization, and data manipulation tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in product-led growth and optimizing free trials to paid and/or self-serve purchase flows in SaaS industries
Experience with email, website, and performance marketing channels
Familiarity with marketing technologies such as Marketo, Salesforce, Looker, Amplitude, and Full Story
