Mid (QA) Quality Assurance Engineer (Game Development)
We are seeking a highly motivated Mid+ Quality Assurance Engineer to join our game development team for a 6 month contract to help us with increased workload on RISK: Global Domination. Potential for this to extend but we currently have just a set window of extra QA work we'd like more support on. Start Aug 2025 ideal. As a QA engineer, you will work closely with our development teams to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved for our games.
Responsibilities:
Test games and ensure they meet design specifications.
Report bugs and issues to the development team.
Work with the development team to reproduce and fix issues.
Create and maintain test plans and test cases.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that quality standards are met.
Participate in the development process to provide feedback on potential issues.
Requirements:
Experience with game engines such as Unity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to understand and pick up new tools easily.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Confidence to communicate ideas, solutions and issues clearly.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Job experience in game development, QA testing or JIRA or QASE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related experience.
Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, php or Python.
A passion for and good understanding of board games and their mechanics.
Familiarity with test automation tools.
Knowledge of Xcode and Android Studio.
Understanding of GIT and managing repositories.
