About the role:
As an Account Executive in our Mid-Market Commercial segment, you will own the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to close, for companies ranging from high-growth startups to established mid-sized tech companies. You will help customers reimagine how they hire top engineering talent, using HackerRank’s leading developer skills platform. This is a high-impact role with room to grow, influence product direction, and help shape our go-to-market strategy.
What you’ll do:
Own the complete sales process for mid-market accounts, from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and close
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, consistently meeting or exceeding quota
Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their hiring challenges and aligning HackerRank’s solutions to their needs
Deliver tailored product demos and presentations to showcase how HackerRank drives technical hiring success
Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
Gather market insights and customer feedback to inform HackerRank’s product development and sales approach

What you bring:
1-3 years of quota-carrying SaaS or technical sales experience, preferably in a B2B mid-market or commercial segment
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience with one or more sales methodologies (ie MEDDIC, SPIN, RAIN, Challenger, etc)
Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce and sales engagement platforms
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Current base salary range: $60,000 to $75,000. This sales role is eligible for incentive-based pay. Annual total potential earnings, including base salary and incentive-based pay, $100,000 to $125,000 (based on quota attainment). The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commission (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.
