Description:
Scope of Work:
Provide design engineering support for Nacelle components. The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Execute the design activities of a Nacelle components (Thrust Reverser, Inlet, Fan Cowl, or Exhaust) using sound engineering principles and adhering to company design standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Review concept designs to ensure hardware systems and components can meet specific requirements. Develop and document design, function, qualification, and performance criteria.
- Prepare content and participate in technical reviews and adhere to design practices and standards.
- Create engineering change packages, including part definition and change substantiation. All concept development models and layouts to be managed in STE DWB tool. All drawing and modeling work will be done in CATIA V5.
- Effectively communicate with the engineering program manager to:
- Prepare for technical and program reviews within the organization, with suppliers and customers.
- Develop and execute plans to achieve technical and program requirements.
- Develop action plans in response to problems.
Deliverables
Specific deliverables include:
- Design of hardware in Catia V5 and STE DWB tool.
- Internal, supplier and customer design reviews.
- Engineering release and change management in STE DWB tool.
- Qualification and certification reports.
- Project plans and status updates.
- Engineering support for manufacturing and supply chain.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Requirements:
- All concept development models and layouts to be managed in STE DWB tool. The technical presentations to be uploaded to task specific STE Box folders. All drawing and modeling work to be done in CATIA V5.
- BS degree in engineering or relevant scientific field.
- Five years or more experience in Design Engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry. Experience with aviation EBU hardware is preferred.
Additional Information:
- 12+ month consultant opportunity.
- Pay Rate: $50-$65/hr based on experience.
