Manager, Software Engineering - Collaboration Tools
As the Engineering Manager for Collaboration Tools, you own the end to end success of Figma’s Collab seat offering, which includes Figma Slides and FigJam. Collectively, these two products transform the way people brainstorm, develop, and present their ideas by leveraging the magic of real time collaboration and the infinite canvas that Figma is known for. Given the universal applicability of these products to all knowledge workers, Figma slides and FigJam will play a critical role in Figma’s continued growth to new audiences and expansion within existing customer bases.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and GTM to chart the course for these product lines in the AI era and leverage them to help Figma unlock the next xM users.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Manage and support a group of engineering managers and teams responsible for FigJam and Figma Slides
Partner with product, design, and data to continue innovating on our Collab Tools product and accelerate the growth of Figma’s Collab seat
Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions
Recruit, mentor and retain high performing engineers (and help with other cross functional roles)
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and taking calculated risks
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
4+ years of experience hiring and leading teams as an engineering manager with at least 2 years of experience managing managers
Ability to operate effectively at the level of product and business strategy while balancing that with operational excellence in running engineering teams
Proven track record of successfully operating and growing E2E product lines
Passion for building inclusive teams that deliver customer impact and iterate quickly
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience leading product teams in B2B companies with a PLG motion
Previous experience in integrating AI into existing product lines effectively

Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
