Manager - Carrier Management & Relations
Job Summary: The Manager, Carrier Management & Relations, will lead the strategy, negotiation, and performance oversight of all global carrier partnerships supporting our UC/CC solutions. This role ensures robust global connectivity, SLA accountability, and long-term vendor optimization to support product growth, quality, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: ● Negotiate and manage global contracts across voice, SMS, SIP trunking, and connectivity services. ● Ensure compliance with SLAs, SLOs, and contractual obligations from all carriers. ● Identify and evaluate new global connectivity technologies and providers. ● Drive high-availability designs with geographic redundancy and failover. ● Manage procurement and lifecycle of global numbers (DIDs, toll-free, short codes). ● Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, and Legal. ● Monitor and report carrier performance; lead issue escalation and resolution. ● Own budgeting and forecasting for carrier spend, optimizing cost and coverage. ● Stay current on industry trends, regulatory shifts, and innovation opportunities.
Qualifications: Required: ● 8–12 years of experience in carrier/vendor management roles. ● Deep knowledge of global telecom, SIP, DID/SMS procurement, and redundancy design. ● Strong negotiation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills. ● Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Preferred: ● Experience in UCaaS/CCaaS, telecom aggregators, or major global enterprise IT. ● Knowledge of STIR/SHAKEN, A2P SMS compliance, or network architecture.
