A genuine and demonstrated interest in Airbnb and a commitment to ethics, integrity and fostering a workplace that emphasizes diversity and belonging is a must.

The Community You Will Join:

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Product & Marketing Legal Team. You will be responsible for creating and improving processes, maintaining records, conducting legal research, creating presentation decks, and communicating across the team. You will build internal legal knowledge management and operational processes, supporting the legal team in driving operational excellence. You are resourceful, a fast learner, able to handle ambiguity, willing to jump in and help with a variety of initiatives, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Difference You Will Make:

This role will report to the Associate General Counsel for Product / Airbnb.org, but will have responsibility for supporting various members across the Product & Marketing Legal Team, which counsels product, marketing, communications, community, Airbnb.org and other social impact, engineering, data science, operations, trust & safety, customer service, insurance and other internal client teams across the company.

A Typical Day:

  • Develop and improve processes to help drive operational efficiency, including processes for legal intake and review

  • Improve and scale knowledge management systems, including maintenance of records, forms, and templates

  • Support internal legal operations workflows and team collaboration for various legal areas

  • Develop expertise in a range of Airbnb functional areas and processes, and build relationships with both business stakeholders and the broader Legal team

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities

  • Find new challenges exciting, and happy learning in situations where every day is different

  • “No job is too big or too small” approach to work

  • Proactive, resourceful self-starter with the ability to identify where support is needed, and work independently while exercising good judgment on when to seek guidance from managing attorneys and legal professionals

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure, while maintaining excellent results and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Google Suite and/or ability to quickly learn and use new software tools

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
