Learning & Development Specialist
Job Summary:
Are you an expert in instructional design with a passion for creating engaging objective-based learning experiences? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Learning & Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in crafting and delivering cutting-edge e-learning modules, in-person instructor-led classes (ILT) and virtual instructor-led classes (VILT classes), and manage programs that are based on best practice adult learning principles. This role will also focus on evaluating current course learnings for team members across multiple verticals such as Human Resources, Compliance, Operations, and Information Technology.
Job Expectations:
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and audience analyses to identify learning objectives and performance gaps for operational training, safety training, technical training, HR and compliance training, and leadership training
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather input, content, ensure accuracy, and validate learning materials
Apply adult learning theories, methodologies, and models (e.g., ADDIE, Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, etc.) to create learner-centered and outcomes-driven solutions
Create dynamic, innovative, and engaging e-learning modules and other training materials that cater to different learning styles that not only drive high engagement and retention but also ensure thorough understanding of material:
E-learning: Storyboards, scripts, interactive modules (using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, etc.), simulations, quizzes, and assessments
Classroom/Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT/VILT): Facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, activities, case studies, and job aids
Blended Learning: Strategically combine e-learning and instructor-led components to optimize learning outcomes
Develop effective assessment strategies to measure learning effectiveness and program impact
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards
Utilize effective facilitation techniques to encourage participation, foster discussion, and ensure a positive learning environment
Provide constructive feedback and coaching to learners
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and learning
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
Assist with maintenance of the Workday Learning Learning Management System (LMS) platform

Facilitation Experience:
Comfortable with virtual and in person facilitation
Experience with Google Meets
Experience with creating recorded training for future use
Multimedia Design:
Graphic design multimedia editing tools (e.g., Snagit, Adobe Creative Suite)
Video editing software (e.g., Screencastify, Camtasia)
Animation tools (e.g., Vyond)
Equipment Knowledge:
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
Experience with Workday Learning Management System Administration
Experience with JIRA
Experience with SAP is a plus
Experience Requirements:
Generally requires a minimum of seven (7) years experience with proven experience in e-learning development, instructional design, and online classroom facilitation.
Education Requirements:
Business, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Certifications from Association of Talent Development, Society of Human Resource Management, Langevin or Yukon Learning preferred.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc. iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
