Job Title: Lead Analyst, Operational Analytics
Location: Remote Department: Data Analytics
Reports To: VP Data Analytics
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced team lead to spearhead the development and execution of our data governance strategy. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles, hands-on experience with SQL querying/scripting, data mapping and a comprehensive grasp of data warehouse architecture. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring data quality, consistency, security, and accessibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the data governance team in developing and enforcing data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
Partner with data stewards, data architects, and business units to ensure alignment between data governance goals and organizational priorities.
Oversee data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives.
Conduct data mapping activities across various systems and sources.
Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to ensure data warehouse structures support governance initiatives.
Identify and resolve data quality issues, define data quality metrics, and implement ongoing monitoring processes.
Facilitate data governance councils and working groups to drive awareness, compliance, and engagement across data domains.
Champion the adoption of a data-driven culture across the organization through training, communication, and support.
Use existing tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI and Excel to build visual representations of data and present that to others.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data mapping between source systems and data warehouses.
Solid understanding of data warehouse structures, data modeling concepts, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar) is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI and the skills to quickly pick up new Analytics tools.
Strong experience working with Excel, developing Pivot Tables and structuring/formatting data.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $97,100 to $145,500 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
