Apply for this position

Pinterest is seeking a seasoned IT Program Manager to help scale and modernize how we manage technology programs across the organization. This unique role blends program administration, process ownership, and basic quantitative analysis—perfect for candidates who bring experience as an IT Analyst or IT Program Manager and are looking to deepen their impact without direct ownership of every process.

You’ll play a central role in overseeing capacity and portfolio planning, supporting app rationalization initiatives, and empowering Product Owners to take on increasing responsibility with clear but flexible guardrails. If you thrive in a cross-functional environment and enjoy enabling others to succeed, we want to meet you!

What you’ll do:

  • Administer IT Programs & Processes: Act as the central administrator for core IT processes (portfolio management, capacity planning, and resource allocation). Maintain program documentation and coordinate updates across teams.

  • Drive Capacity & Resource Planning: Help forecast and track IT resource allocation, work with business partners to align resources to strategic needs, and flag potential constraints or bottlenecks.

  • Enable & Support Product Owners: Build and maintain lightweight frameworks that empower Product Owners to own and drive their programs—offering guidance and best practices without heavy-handed oversight

  • Support Application Rationalization: Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize opportunities to consolidate, optimize, or sunset existing applications.

  • Process Ownership with a Service Mindset: Own continuous improvement for key IT processes, soliciting feedback and collaborating with teams to simplify and standardize ways of working.

  • Quantitative Analysis & Reporting: Conduct basic quantitative analyses (e.g., preparing dashboards, charts, or summary metrics) to inform decision making and highlight trends or risks.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience as an IT Analyst, Project Manager, or Program Manager in a technology-focused environment.

  • Strong organizational and process management skills.

  • Comfortable with basic data analysis; able to interpret and visualize IT portfolio data.

  • Skilled at building relationships and communicating effectively across technical and business teams.

  • Service-oriented: enjoys enabling others to take ownership and succeed.

  • Adaptable, eager to proactively identify and solve problems.

  • Bonus: Experience with application portfolio management, rationalization programs, or capacity planning.

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Relocation Statement:

  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Visit our PinFlex page to learn more about our working model.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.

  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
