HR Employee Relations Partner – based in Poland/Bulgaria

This is an exciting opportunity for an English and French speaking HR professional with a quest for knowledge and desire to learn to join a growing multinational organisation.  Labcorp are looking to recruit an experienced candidate based in Eastern Europe to undertake work in the global employee relations team.  This will involve supporting a wide range of business areas across multiple countries to provide guidance to leaders and employees.  The role is part of a global team of people based in the US, UK, EMEA, India and China.  The opportunities for growth and development are only limited to the candidate’s ambition.

Education/skills required:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, human resources, or related subject is preferred but not essential; work experience will be considered

  • Appropriate HR Certification

  • Previous experience in HR/ER preferred

Responsibilities -the successful candidate will undertake a wide range of tasks to include the following:

  • Support and guide global leaders on employee relations matters, for example, performance issues, behavior/workplace concerns, and provide coaching to support the employee experience.  The goal is to increase confidence and competence of leaders.

  • Advise on processes in accordance with Labcorp policies and appropriate regulatory guidelines according to jurisdiction. (i.e., attendance issues, failure to follow SOPs, quality issues, basic investigations, and performance matters).

  • Participate in various global employee relations projects and activities

  • Partner with team members from other centres of excellence, such as the global HR Partner team.

  • Provide information to ensure compliance within appropriate jurisdictions and local requirements.

  • Assist with coordination and delivery of training for managers by working with the Global ER Learning and Development lead

  • Work with team members to supply additional intelligence around case numbers for business units and country

Experience/skills required:

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in ER, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • HR/ER experience and interest in employee relations in more than one country

  • Knowledge of relevant employment and labor laws

  • Desire and interest to learn employment laws and practices globally

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues

  • Strong investigation skills

  • Ability to summarize information succinctly both verbally and in writing

  • Flexibility and willingness to deal with competing priorities

  • Willingness to assist others and adapt to focusing on where workload is high

  • Good prioritization skills and ability to focus on time-sensitive issues

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Willingness to operate in a global team and flow to the work

Experience/skills preferred:

  • Awareness of multiple HR disciplines and processes

  • Familiarity with case management tools and excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong customer service focus and organizational skills

  • Problem solving experience

  • Ability to look at a process with a view to continuous improvement

Additional requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken business English and French

  • Written and spoken business German– desirable, not essential

  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel

  • Ability to support various time zones over a flexible work pattern (whilst complying with working time provisions for the country where the successful candidate resides)
