Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
About the role
At Canva, we believe that Canvanaut wellbeing powers Canva's success. This is why we take a holistic and proactive approach to safety, health & wellbeing.
You’ll join our small but mighty wellbeing team, dedicated to helping Canvanauts prioritise their wellbeing every day so they can do their best work. This role is all about psychosocial health and holistic wellbeing. At Canva, physical security and safety is managed by our Security team, allowing you to focus on psychosocial safety, and mental health.
As our Health and Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll partner with the Head of Wellbeing to bring technical know-how and delivery expertise that keeps our programs running smoothly and impactful at a global scale.
This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone with several years’ experience in their WHS career and a passion for mental health who’s ready to spread their wings in an environment where we approach health & wellbeing holistically, strategically and proactively.
You’ll have a strong focus on developing and implementing global health and wellness programs that focus on psychosocial and mental health specifically.

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
Managing the Canva Care Program (EAP) operations: vendor management, reporting, escalation support, and day-to-day query management.
WHS subject matter expertise: provide technical WHS subject matter expertise in the development and implementaion of programs that support our team’s health & wellbeing.
Operational WHS delivery: incident tracking, compliance reporting, risk assessments, and supporting psychosocial hazard management.
Workplace wellbeing activations: partner with the Vibe team on physical wellbeing initiatives (e.g. flu jabs, skin checks, fitness classes).
Reporting & insights: monitor wellbeing trends and parter with relevant teams to continually improve our reporting & insights capability in order to escalate insights-driven risks to leadership.
Incident response: support acute wellbeing or psychosocial incidents in partnership with the Head of Wellbeing.
Training delivery: over time, deliver regular mental health training and wellbeing sessions to upskill Canvanauts.
You're probably a match if you have
5+ years’ experience in workplace wellbeing, psychosocial safety, or WHS (with a focus on mental health).
A clinical or technical background in mental health (e.g. psychology, organisational psychology, or equivalent).
Knowledge of WHS operations, risk assessments, and safety best practice.
Experience managing EAP programs, audits, incident reporting, return-to-work, and injury management.
Experience partnering with Legal, Facilities, HR Business Partners, and external providers.
The ability to work independently and thrive in a global, distributed team.
Bonus points if you bring experience in workers’ compensation case management or hold a Return to Work Coordinator (or equivalent) qualification.
What's in it for you?
Achieving our crazy big goals motivates us to work hard - and we do - but you'll experience lots of moments of magic, connectivity and fun woven throughout life at Canva, too. We also offer a range of benefits to set you up for every success in and outside of work.
Here's a taste of what's on offer:
Equity packages - we want our success to be yours too
Inclusive parental leave policy that supports all parents & carers
An annual Vibe & Thrive allowance to support your wellbeing, social connection, office setup & more
Flexible leave options that empower you to be a force for good, take time to recharge and supports you personally
