Head of Web Strategy
About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of Web Strategy to make Typeform’s website a powerhouse for growth. Today, our site drives significant traffic and leads—but ownership is fragmented, and no single role is accountable for its revenue performance. This is your opportunity to change that.
As Head of Web Strategy, you’ll define and lead a unified website vision that connects SEO, CRO, content, and user experience into a single revenue-driving engine. You’ll own the roadmap for web experimentation and optimization, oversee SEO and organic growth strategy, and ensure that every page of our site—from templates to product pages—maximizes activation, bookings, and business impact.
This is a highly strategic role with real accountability: you’ll be the owner of the “Win the War on the Web” initiative, aligning teams across marketing while driving measurable improvements in traffic, conversions, and revenue.
Things you will do:
Develop & own a comprehensive web strategy aligned to business goals, with clear accountability for engagement, conversions, and revenue.
Lead & mentor SEO and CRO specialists, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous optimization.
Oversee web development projects with our external agency and improve internal processes for self-serve publishing across marketing.
Run a data-driven CRO program: identify conversion opportunities, prioritize testing, and implement site-wide improvements.
Scale SEO & organic growth: build a content strategy that drives impressions, traffic, CTR, and conversions.
Establish performance reporting: own analytics for the website, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
What you already bring to the table
Extensive experience in web strategy, content marketing, or related fields.
Proven success managing website optimization across SEO, CRO, and user experience.
Experience leading teams and managing agencies/contractors.
Strong analytical skills and ability to turn insights into action.
Hands-on experience with content strategy, SEO tools, analytics platforms, and A/B testing frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to align multiple teams to a single vision.
Balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution in fast-paced environments.
Experience leading large-scale web projects (redesigns, migrations, new content initiatives).
Familiarity with Webflow or similar CMS platforms.
Knowledge of accessibility and UX best practices.
Understanding of paid and organic performance marketing and their impact on web conversions.
No one likes a guessing game — that’s why we're transparent about the salary range for this role. In addition to the base, we offer a 5-10% bonus depending on your level and performance. The range is broad because we tailor total compensation based on your location, experience, education, and skillset. We also want to ensure equitable pay across the team and alignment with market data — but let us handle those details. We’re committed to clarity and honesty, so feel free to ask us anything along the way.
Pay range
$170,000—$200,000 USD
