Job Description
As Head of Sales, you’ll lead a distributed team of sales professionals within our contact centre environment, responsible for converting student enquiries into enrolments across a portfolio of postgraduate programs. You’ll champion a values-led, performance-driven culture, embedding best practices in sales, coaching, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic thinking with execution. You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, IT, and Account Management to align sales strategies with partner priorities, optimise conversion journeys, and deliver exceptional outcomes for students and university partners.
Key accountabilities:
Sales Leadership
Lead, coach, and inspire the Admissions team to achieve and exceed enrolment targets across all university partnerships.
Build a sales-first culture focused on coaching, accountability, and high performance.
Drive sales pipeline management, team capability development, and effective student conversion strategies.
Embed strong team rhythms, performance analytics, and transparent communication.
Customer Experience & Operational Excellence
Design and optimise the conversion journey, ensuring seamless transitions across Marketing and Admissions.
Champion a culture of service excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Account Management teams to align sales strategies with partner priorities and go-to-market initiatives.
Strategic Contribution and Organisational Influence
Actively shape organisational strategy and transformation by championing the voice of Admissions in cross-functional leadership forums.
Inform enterprise strategy and functional innovation through data-driven insights and forward-looking sales perspectives.
Lead change initiatives and system optimization projects that improve team performance, digital enablement, operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Work closely with Product, Marketing, IT, and Account Management to ensure aligned execution of program launches and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Data, Reporting & Decision-Making
Use data insights to inform decision-making, improve conversion outcomes, and drive process optimisation.
Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, forecasting student enrolments and identifying risks and opportunities in collaboration with the broader Growth team.
Partner with Finance and Insights to deliver accurate and actionable reporting to internal and partner stakeholders.
Governance & Risk
Ensure compliance with regulatory and partner-specific requirements in all enrolment and student communication practices.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
10+ years in senior sales leadership, ideally in tech, education, or contact centre environments.
Proven success leading distributed, target-driven teams in high-volume settings.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with deep expertise in sales metrics, pipeline optimisation, and conversion strategies.
Experience driving cultural and performance transformation across complex operational teams.
Advanced proficiency in CRM and CX systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Genesys preferred) and sales analytics tools.
