Head of Growth Engineering
YOUR ROLE & MISSION
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Growth Engineering responsible for building and scaling our Growth Engineering culture. You’ll lead a team of engineers focused on rapid data-driven experimentation, optimizing customer user journeys, improving conversions, and driving scalable systems that improve our growth metrics such as user acquisition, conversion to paid, retention, and monetization.
This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Data. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about growing a product that users love.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and scale a team of Growth Engineers working across the full funnel — from top-of-funnel acquisition to monetization and retention
Drive a culture of experimentation in close partnership with Product Managers, Marketing, Data Scientists, and Designers to ship A/B tests and iterative improvements that move the needle
Build and improve A/B testing frameworks to enable rapid testing, data-informed decision-making, and accurate tracking/measurement of experiments
Identify high-leverage growth opportunities through data insights, user research, and collaboration with GTM teams
Architect and build scalable systems that support growth initiatives like onboarding flows, personalization engines, and viral loops
Leverage automation and machine learning to optimize user engagement, reduce churn, and personalize user experiences
Hire, mentor, and develop a world-class Growth Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, iteration, and impact
Ensure technical excellence through code quality, performance, and scalability — while balancing speed of execution
Drive the technical roadmap for Growth Engineering, ensuring alignment with product and business priorities
Skills and Relevant Experience
8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a growth-focused or experimentation-driven leadership role
Proven success leading engineering teams that directly impacted business metrics like conversion, retention, and LTV
Strong product thinking and data-informed mindset; comfortable using tools like Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Google Analytics, or similar
Deep experience with A/B testing, feature flagging, and user cohorting tools and methodologies
Strong programming skills in modern web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Python, or Node.js) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP); hands-on ability to guide architectural decisions
Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Design, and Data Science teams
Deep understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO), SEO, and performance engineering
Experience working with MongoDB, data pipelines, and analytics frameworks
Passion for rapid iteration, experimentation, and growth-driven development
Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals
Proven experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development processes — including code generation, debugging, and productivity optimization. Candidates should demonstrate fluency in integrating AI-driven solutions into their workflows and a willingness to stay current with emerging AI technologies
Great to have
Familiarity with React, MongoDB, SQL, data warehousing, and Elasticsearch
Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Looker, etc.) and developing B2B SaaS products
Experience within the activation, integration, or system design space
