About the team
The Total Rewards team strives to ensure each Stripe receives equitable and competitive compensation (cash, bonus, and equity) that is reflective of the geographies where Stripes work. We aim to align our compensation programs with Stripe’s business priorities and operating principles to attract, retain, develop, and engage our people.
What you’ll do
Stripe is looking for an exceptional, hands-on leader to guide our equity programs into their next phase. You will strategize and plan for the continued growth at Stripe globally, and be accountable for all things equity including data integrity and scaling systems and processes. You will develop and manage the equity administration team and report to the Head of Total Rewards.
Responsibilities
Lead the Global Equity Management (GEM) function; setting the strategy and vision, and aligning them with the overall company and talent strategy goals
Oversee a globally distributed team of specialists; setting the team up for success with clear guidance, direction, and coaching as they remain responsible for the day-to-day core work and execution of tasks
Determine and own the operating model for the GEM team, including vendor strategy and vendor management to achieve functional goals with an emphasis on the user (employee) experience
Identify areas of opportunity for global equity policies and processes to be optimized to meet ongoing business and program compliance needs
Be a trusted, internal advisor and resource to Stripes, managers, and other internal partners navigating challenging equity situations and compliance obligations
Work cross functionally with key internal partners and leaders including Legal, Corporate Tax, Accounting, Finance, Investor Relations, Payroll, Recruiting, People Partners, Benefits, and Compensation, to design and implement global equity processes and program enhancements
Ensure tax compliance for applicable employees, by partnering with the tax team on the global reporting and tax requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact on key global equity projects, including advising on the equity aspects of M&A activity at Stripe and delegating as needed
Serve as the point of escalation for any GEM-related challenges
Partner with the Finance team and People team leaders to set the GEM team budgets
Utilize data to make informed equity-related recommendations and decisions, paying close attention to the user (employee) experience, costs, and ROI on equity programs
Keep the business abreast of any changing regulations and policies related to equity, and strategizing any communication plans and outreach as needed

Minimum requirements
A Bachelor’s degree
A background of at least 7+ years of experience in global equity management and administration, including at least 3+ years of leading the function and a distributed team
CEP Level 3 designation required
Proven experience managing global external providers such as vendors and consultants
Strong knowledge of global equity laws, regulations, and processes
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Shareworks/Morgan Stanley/E*Trade
Experience scaling equity at a fast growing company in both the private and public sector
Deep knowledge of global equity legal and tax compliance requirements
Highly collaborative yet drives projects and decisions forward
Thinks strategically and creatively, finding solutions by reexamining assumptions
Can effectively manage deadlines and competing priorities, moving with urgency and focus
