What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of ERP Systems to lead and manage our financial systems with a primary focus on safeguarding and optimizing our Workday ERP. This role will be pivotal in driving continuous improvements, maintaining robust security measures, managing system integrations, and enhancing business processes across our global operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Workday Finance and HCM implementations, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of ERP systems in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Leadership and Strategy

   - Lead and manage the Enterprise Resource Planning Systems team, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.

   - Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the Workday ERP and other finance platforms, aligning with the company’s business objectives.

   - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality, efficiency, and user experience.

2. System Safeguarding and Security

   - Ensure the security and integrity of the Workday ERP and other systems.

   - Develop and enforce security protocols, compliance standards, and risk management practices.

   - Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent security breaches and data loss.

3. Integration Management

 - Oversee the integration of the Workday ERP with other business systems and third-party applications.

   - Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.

   - Manage and optimize system interfaces and data integrations to support business needs.

4. Business Process Optimization

   - Advise the business on standardized and automated business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

   - Collaborate with finance and other business units to understand requirements and deliver process improvements.

   - Lead projects to automate and streamline financial and HR operations using Workday and other platforms.

5. Team Development and Management

   - Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Finance Platforms team.

   - Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

   - Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

   - Act as a key liaison between finance, IT,  HR and other business units.

   - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and deliver solutions.

   - Present system updates, project statuses, and strategic plans to executive leadership.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Work with the project team to deliver additional functionality per the roadmap

  • Ensure that future releases are deployed with minimal disruption

  • Ensure that best practices are adopted by the finance team and the appropriate functionality is adopted whilst minimizing any work-arounds

Required skills

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A fully qualified accountant would be advantageous.

- Workday PRO Certification (any routes considered)

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in ERP system management, and in a leadership role overseeing large-scale ERP implementations.

- ERP Expertise: Extensive experience with Workday ERP systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.

- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading ERP projects from inception to completion.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

- Change Management: Demonstrated experience in change management and driving organizational change.

- Global Experience: Experience working in a global business environment, with an understanding of the complexities of managing ERP systems across multiple regions.
