Introducing Masabi

// At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel.

Our Justride platform is used in over 250 locations globally, including some of the largest cities in the world. With our industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we’ve partnered with large players in the transport space, including Uber, Moovit and Transit.

Your own journey is important to us too. Choosing a role here means joining a network of innovators from all walks of life; a group of passionate individuals who consistently deliver. Here, you’ll find the tools you need to build the career you want. Whether you’re taking the direct route or trying a new path, we’ll support you no matter what.

The Role

// Masabi is excited to welcome a dynamic and experienced Head of Bids to our team. In this impactful role, you will lead the creation and management of proposals for transit agencies and operators worldwide. You will gain a deep understanding of our innovative products and collaborate with various internal teams. As the key link between sales, product, engineering, services, and finance, you'll guide your team in crafting compelling bids that secure new business and drive upsell opportunities.

Location

// This role is available in a fully remote model for candidates based in the US, located between the Mountain and Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the bid process from initiation to submission, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met

  • Support the business development cycle, from initial identification of opportunities through to submission and post-tender activities

  • Implement and maintain a rigorous project management approach to bid management, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring of all bids

  • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of team skills and expertise for each bid

  • Develop and enforce methodologies and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across bids, providing clear guidance on bid/no-bid decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical, commercial, and legal components into cohesive and compelling bids

  • Drive continuous improvement in bid management practices, leveraging our strengths in pricing and on-time delivery to sharpen our competitive advantage

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and with partners, ensuring our bids align with their needs and expectations

  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the bid management team

  • Innovate and push boundaries to help us win our 'unfair share' of market opportunities. Leverage AI tools and other creative strategies to gain a competitive edge

About You

  • Proven experience leading bid management teams and processes

  •  Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, even under tight deadlines

  • Results-driven with a commitment to delivering high-quality bids on time

  • Demonstrated success in managing and winning high-value bids

  • Strong understanding of the sales and procurement process (full understanding of public procurement for technology-based solutions would be highly desirable)

  • Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
