Global Privacy Manager
Position Overview
TrustArc is seeking a Global Privacy Manager (GPM) to join our Assurance team. This client-facing position is responsible for leading privacy assessments, supporting global compliance initiatives, and managing relationships with a diverse client portfolio.
While the majority of clients are based in China, the role also includes engagement with organizations across the United States, Europe, and other regions of Asia. As such, fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required. The position is fully remote, with no travel to or presence in China required.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering TrustArc’s certification programs and privacy operations services, ensuring clients’ alignment with global privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and cross border data transfer frameworks. This includes providing strategic and practical guidance, drafting privacy documentation, and working cross-functionally to improve client outcomes and internal service delivery.
What You Will Do
Demonstrate and apply privacy knowledge to cross-sector clients
Project manage certifications and assessments for assigned customer base
Build strong client relationships by maintaining knowledge of TrustArc solutions and aiming to address each client’s privacy-related concerns
Foster the growth of TrustArc clients from a revenue and account management perspective
Maintain knowledge of current events in the legal and compliance spaces as they relate to privacy practices
Meet defined monthly and quarterly assessment and performance goals
Collaboration with internal TrustArc departments to resolve customer issues and improve solutions
Active participation in privacy industry organizations and events
Define and implement creative solutions that address client-specific business needs to help them meet TrustArc requirements and manage deadlines
Work with portfolio of clients that are located in China (in Mandarin)
What You Will Bring
BA/BS required
Fluent in spoken Mandarin; written preferred
CIPP certification strongly preferred
Previous experience in a privacy-focused role preferred
Experience in B2B account management, enterprise client services or comparable role
Attention to detail and ability to work through complex problems using creative solutions
Project management skills
Time management skills
Ability to distill complex issues into easy to understand recommendations that can be conveyed in written and verbal form
Familiarity with and understanding of major international and domestic privacy laws and regulations preferred
Must understand privacy concepts and terminology as applicable to the private sector
Detailed understanding of complex emerging Internet technologies, online tracking, cloud/processor activities, encryption and anonymizing data
Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn major CRM systems and experience with project management tools
Must demonstrate a strong service orientation
Holds self and others responsible for goals, outcomes, deadlines and objectives
Compliance background is helpful, but not required

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
