Overview
Job Title: Genetic Counselor:
Myriad Genetic Laboratories has an immediate opening for a creative and energetic individual to join our growing Genetic Counselor team. This is a remote, work from home position that requires minimal travel.
Responsibilities
The Genetic Counseling team provides a wide range of patient and corporate medical support, including:
* Patient education around hereditary cancer testing options as part of our new Telegenetic/Patient Education product enhancement. These interactions are the primary responsibility of this role and constitute about 80% time.
* Development and execution of individual research studies, with opportunities to present at scientific meetings.
* Development and presentation of corporate based training/continuing education programs.
This is an excellent position for anyone who would like to build and expand their genetic counseling skills, develop expertise in hereditary cancer testing, and work from home with the support of a strong clinical team. This is a new and evolving position, so we are looking for independent, creative, adaptive individuals who want to grow with the job!
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Board certified and genetic counselor (required) with hereditary cancer risk assessment experience (preferred).
* Strong preference for bilingual Spanish speaker.
* The candidate must have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
* A dedicated, HIPAA compliant home work space.
