Genetic Counselor - Infertility

Labcorp Genetics, part of the Labcorp Specialty Testing Group, is seeking an experienced Genetic Counselor to provide remote based genetic counseling for reproductive endocrinology practices across the United States. Counseling will include gamete donor genetic risk assessments,  targeted genetic test result counseling and comprehensive counseling sessions. This individual will be a genetic counseling resource for reproductive specialists serving a diverse population of patients, and will be  supported by a large team of genetic counselors and medical geneticists.  The counselor will have the ability to identify and implement processes to improve the patient experience and will have an opportunity to participate in educational and research initiatives.

Please note, this is a 100% remote position. Candidate can reside anywhere in the US. Schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm local time zone.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for patients and couples via telegenetic counseling (video conference)

• Facilitate the delivery of genetic test results

• Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues

• Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, providing physician education and participate in other projects

Requirements:

• MA/MS in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling

• ABGC/ABMG certification required

• 2 years genetic counseling work experience required (post completion of masters program)

• Previous women’s health genetic counseling experience required

• Previous infertility genetic counseling experience highly preferred

• Broadly licensed or ability to obtain multi-state licenses

**Salary Range:  $88,000 - $120,000 / year

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
