Everly Health's mission is to transform lives with modern, diagnostics-driven care, and we believe that the future of healthcare is meeting people where they are. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Everly Health is the parent company to Everlywell, Everly Health Solutions, and Everly Diagnostics. We've set a new standard of people-focused, diagnostic-driven care that puts patients at the center of their own health journey.

Our infrastructure guides the full testing experience with the support of a national clinician network that is composed of physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, PharmDs, and member care specialists. Our solutions make world-class virtual care more attainable with rigorous clinical protocols and best-in-class science to tackle some of the healthcare industry's biggest problems.

We are committed to helping individuals navigate the world of consumer-initiated genetic testing.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic genetic counselor to provide telehealth (video or phone) genetic counseling consultations, outreach, and review of test orders for patients with a variety of indications, including hereditary cancer risk, cardiogenetics, rare disease, early cancer screening (liquid biopsy), and pharmacogenetics. The majority of consultations are geared towards a discussion of consumer-initiated testing results, but there are also some more “traditional” pre- and post-test counseling referrals. We are seeking a contractor to provide 10-20 hours of services.

The contractor will provide 10-20 hours of services per week including:

  • Providing genetic counseling consults via telephone or video for a variety of indications.

  • Generating consult summary reports for the patient’s records.

  • Utilizing medical literature in the analysis of genetic disorders related to individualized patient care.

  • Reviewing genetic test orders to ensure appropriate test ordering.

  • Conducting outreach calls to clarify personal and family history and discuss limitations of testing when applicable.

  • Contributing to keeping support resources up to date with changing testing and medical management practices

Who You Are:

  • ABGC Board-certified and a Master’s Degree in Medical Genetics/Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling from an accredited institution.

  • Must reside in the US.

  • At least two years of experience in clinical genetic counseling.

  • Willingness to provide genetic counseling for all indications

Preffered Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure is preferred, but not required.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

  • Cancer and/or pharmacogenetic specialty preferred, but not required; or willingness to act as a clinical lead in cancer/pharmacogenomic specialty area
