Game Monetisation QA Lead - Monopoly GO!
Scopely is looking for a Game Monetisation QA Lead to join our Monopoly Go! team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis, or in Spain on a remote basis.

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Director of QA, you will lead, support, and oversee quality initiatives across one of our Vertical Groups, comprising multiple Pods, responsible for the development, integration, and release of innovative features and content for our flagship title, Monopoly Go! You will be instrumental in shaping how we iterate toward success and continuously evolve our ways of working.
Line manage internal QA team members within your assigned Vertical Group, fostering their development through Individual Development Plans (IDPs), Key Performance Objectives (KPOs), and regular 1:1s
Support and reinforce QA best practices aligned with departmental strategy and broader business objectives
Take a leading role in the recruitment and onboarding of QA personnel for your respective Pod(s)
Collaborate with wider QA leadership to coordinate and oversee efforts from external testing vendors, ensuring efficient prioritization and resource allocation of our functional test team
Manage bug entries within your Vertical Group, ensuring they meet expected standards through pre-triage, maintaining a relevant and actionable database, and escalating high-ROI issues through appropriate channels
Oversee the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive and well-structured repository of test suites and cases for both new and existing features tied to your Vertical Groups work
Ensure all phases of the QA lifecycle, from initial conception to post-release support, are followed for your teams deliverables
Actively contribute to and uphold best practices within the Monopoly Go Release Train, helping enforce quality checkpoints at each milestone
Provide a comprehensive quality overview of upcoming features and content through appropriate tracking and reporting methods
Actively support your Vertical Groups testing efforts as needed, ensuring confidence in release standards and staying closely aligned with current outputs
Collaborate with Customer Support to flag known quality risks for in-development items and to stay informed of live user concerns and issues
Maintain close coordination with other QA leads to communicate new features and content in development, identifying any potential cross-team impacts
Advocate for and help secure adequate QA time in your Vertical Groups roadmap and release train, ensuring sufficient coverage based on your teams needs
Serve as the Lead QA DRI for holistic releases when required
Actively participate in pod ceremonies to stay current with ongoing work, reviewing briefs and specifications early to identify potential risks or issues
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Monopoly Go’s core mechanics to effectively support testing and broader responsibilities
Champion a ‘shift-left’ mindset by identifying and addressing potential issues as early as possible in the development cycle
Lead by example, embodying and promoting Scopely’s core values and tenets.
