We're seeking a Front End Technical Lead II to join a team working on a high-impact mission within the Discovery product Group at HubSpot. This team is building the Global Home page, which will serve as the default landing experience into the app for the majority of users — giving you the opportunity to impact nearly every user. We're creating library of widgets that will power Global Home, designed to deliver a personalized experience for each user. These widgets will help users quickly find what they need and even help uncover value that they didn't know about.
You would join a talented set of teams comprising both frontend and backend teams and work with highly effective Product Management and User Experience teams. The team has direct customer impact as well as deep technical problems.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers where autonomy and flexibility are core values.
Grow their career in a dynamic, low bureaucracy environment.
Like the idea of working on a small, customer-driven development teams of 3-5 engineers.
Take ownership, work collaboratively, and figure things out Solve complicated customer and technical problems while understanding the trade-offs involved, yet still acting decisively
Able to show pragmatic decision making and problem-solving abilities.
Understand how we build and why for our customers.
Qualifications
Are a strong senior engineer with experience leading small teams
Have a passion for writing code and reading code, up to 90% of their time
Experience with JavaScript and React, or similar frameworks.
Can foster an environment that encourages autonomy and psychological safety
Understand the value of building a diverse team, and are champions and upstanders for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives
Enjoy mentoring and coaching other team members in a psychologically safe way, while also being open to learning from them as well
Cash compensation range: 191100-305800 USD Annually
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
