We are looking for a leader to join our FP&S team as Manager, Financial Planning & Strategy - R&D and Operations. In this role, you will be a finance lead for Checkr’s Product and Engineering teams while also driving strategic corporate initiatives. This role is entrepreneurial and cross-functional and, as such, the candidate must be inquisitive, demonstrate initiative and be able to thrive in a collaborative environment. The right candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills to influence data-driven business decisions. You will combine your financial modeling skills with knowledge of the business to become a trusted business partner throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to deliver financial results and KPIs, identifying issues and emerging trends, and providing a breadth of insight and financial decision support
Lead and conduct analyses to enable data-driven decisions that optimize business performance, evaluate new investment opportunities and solve complex business challenges
Extract and present key data-driven insights to senior leaders to influence decision making
Develop product TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, product revenue and investment forecasting models, leveraging inputs from across the organization
Lead the annual and multi year planning processes for Product, Engineering and Operations organization by implementing scalable and consistent processes to enable operational excellence in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
What you bring:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in finance
Prior experience in a combination of investment banking, management consulting, and private equity highly preferred
Excellent financial modeling and data analysis skills with strong attention to detail
Deep experience working in high-growth environments with a proven ability to identify and drive impactful financial outcomes, and to manage complex projects across multiple teams
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization
Experience partnering at the Board, investor, and executive management levels
Experience with Looker, SQL
