Financial Controller
As Namecheap’s new Financial Controller, you’ll oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust internal controls for our growing technology company. This role combines hands-on accounting expertise with strategic leadership of the finance team, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and experienced in driving accounting excellence within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Location & Time Zone: 100% remote — candidates must be based in CST or EST time zones.
Reporting to: CFO
Tools: QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, Highly proficient in Excel
Your team: 10-person finance team (1 CFO, 1 Sr. Accountant, 2 Staff Accountants, 4 Finance Analysts, 1 Sr Accounting Analyst, and you!)
Interview Process: Four stages over approximately three weeks -> 45-min recruiter chat -> 1-hour CFO interview -> 1-hour finance panel -> 1-hour final interview with the CEO

What will you do
Oversee all core accounting operations — general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
Lead month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting aligned with GAAP.
Manage consolidated financials across multiple entities for accuracy and compliance.
Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
Partner with FP&A and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
Oversee cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity.
Ensure compliance with audits, debt covenants, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Manage annual audit processes and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
Support investor due diligence and strategic financial initiatives.
What will you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
CPA required (or in active pursuit).
7 -10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
Experience in technology or SaaS environments strongly preferred. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar).
Advanced Excel and data-driven decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
