The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer to join our enterprise sales team to focus on our Government business. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving customer adoption by supporting the sales process with technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on experience in cybersecurity. You will work closely with sales, prospects, and existing customers to understand their technical requirements, demonstrate product capabilities, prove solution value, and ensure the seamless integration of our platform into customers’ environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Collaborate with Sales Teams to demonstrate and deliver on our solutions value propositions
Identify customer requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs
Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and technical workshops
Act as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, building trust and credibility with all stakeholders
Solution Design & Integration:
Analyze customer requirements to architect solutions that align with their security needs
Design, build, and troubleshoot integrations, leveraging APIs and scripting tools such as Python
Assist customers in implementing proof-of-value (POV) solutions and integrations
Sales Cycle Support:
Leverage CRM to manage leads, opportunities, POV (proof-of-value) engagements, and customer interactions effectively
Collect and document success criteria and milestones as defined by our customers
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence product development
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and competitive landscape
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of presales engineering experience in the Government cybersecurity space
Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to SIEMs, Data Lakes, Endpoint Detection & Response, Threat Intel Platforms, Security Orchestration Automation and Response, and cloud security solutions
Proficiency in Python for API integration
Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, including opportunity management
Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
Familiarity with Government programs and operations
Preferred Skills:
Certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, CEH, or similar
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Active clearance
Salary range: $170,000-$200,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
