Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic, high-performing event marketing professional to help position our solutions and drive growth in the marketplace. The Event Marketing Manager will work cross-functionally and lead the strategic planning, execution, and logistics of all conferences, trade shows, and customer events to elevate brand presence, generate leads, and support revenue growth. This is a fully remote, individual contributor role that requires you to be hands-on: writing, communication, project management, logistics, and tactical execution. In this role, this person will serve as the central point of contact for all event-related activities and will work closely with our Sales, Product, and Marketing Leadership to drive market awareness and revenue growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced event manager, has excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple events at any given time. Strategic Planning & Execution
Own the processes and procedures and work cross-functionally with fellow marketers, sales, account management, SMEs, product, etc., to execute and to drive revenue generation
Work with the VP of Marketing and the Marketing Director to develop and own the overall event strategy aligned with company goals
Create annual and quarterly conference calendars in coordination with marketing, sales, and account management teams
Identify key industry events, sponsorship opportunities, attendance lists, and speaking opportunities for each conference or event
Define event goals and success metrics for each event (e.g., lead generation, brand awareness, customer engagement)
Lead end-to-end planning for all conferences and eventsincluding national trade shows, regional conferences, and customer events
Marketing Communication
Manage social media posts for all conferences and events, including writing, posting, monitoring, and responding
Create pre-conference and post-conference communications (email, social media, etc) and communicate with the BDR team on all conference communications
Collaborate with the Marketing Director on any conference or event-specific marketing collateral
Pre-Event Planning & Coordination
Own the onsite brand presence to ensure a consistent and engaging experience, including booth design, layout, print, and digital collateral development, booth assets, giveaways, and signage production
Coordinate with sales and field teams to ensure proper staffing, training, and alignment on messaging
Manage event registrations, sponsorship packages, and deadlines with conference organizers
Logistics Management
Handle all shipping and receiving of conference materials, ensuring timely delivery and return of items
Maintain inventory of event assets (booths, banners, tablecloths, promo materials) at our warehouse
Troubleshoot logistics issues proactively, including venue restrictions, freight delays, and lost shipments, sometimes during off-hours and on weekends
Create and maintain detailed event timelines, checklists, and run-of-show documents
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, product, leadership) for all event-related needs
Lead pre-show and post-show meetings to ensure alignment, execution, and continuous improvement
Manage communication with third-party vendors, printers, and shipping providers
Ensure sales have the tools, materials, and messaging needed for success
Lead Management & Post-Event Reporting
Coordinate lead capture processes, ensure reps understand tracking systems, and monitor lead quality. Ensure all event leads are input into our lead system and create a process for the sales team to record ROI for every event
Deliver post-event analysis every quarter to the Marketing Director, VP of Marketing, and Regional VP of Sales, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for future events
Maintain event recaps, reports, and feedback documentation for ongoing optimization
Budgeting & Resource Management
Own the event marketing budget and manage all associated expenses tracking spend for promotional items, print spending, and overall conference spending
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and conference organizers
Brand Stewardship
Working with the Marketing Director to ensure all event messaging and materials align with brand voice, visual identity, and strategic priorities
Act as a brand ambassador when attending events, modeling professionalism and consistency in presentation
Be a collaborative part of the marketing team, engaging in responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of event management experience
K12 education industry, EdTech, or a similar background is desirable
Experience managing multiple events simultaneously with competing deadlines
Strong communication skills, especially in a remote work environment
Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate and work cross-functionally
B.A. or B.S. Degree
High degree of personal and professional integrity
Experience working with remote teams or field staff across time zones.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure or during on-site challenges
Must have a growth mindset and desire to learn and grow
