We are seeking a Project Manager with a consulting mindset to lead clients through workflow automation and software development projects, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, long-term planning, and strategic advisory. In this role, youll bridge the gap between clients and the development team, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, well-prioritized, and successfully delivered.

This is not just a delivery roleits an opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to strategic clients, guiding them toward technology solutions that drive business outcomes and long-term value. Youll collaborate with stakeholders, influence roadmaps, and help shape the future of their workflows and processes.

This role is not about being a technical developer but rather about owning the product vision, being proactive about finding additional cross-sell and up-sell work, managing technical resources, and ensuring successful execution of workflow-driven applications using low-code and automation platforms. Youll also be hands-on when neededrolling up your sleeves to assist with quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure the final product meets business needs.

What Youll Do:

Consult and Advise Clients Strategically:

  • Act as a trusted consultant and advisor, helping clients identify long-term goals and align technology with business strategies.

  • Build and nurture lasting client relationships through regular touchpoints, roadmapping sessions, and value-based recommendations.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, providing forward-thinking solutions.

Own Project Execution with a Consulting Mindset:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of workflow-driven applications, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

  • Serve as the Product Owner on behalf of the clientinterpreting high-level business needs into detailed requirements and user stories for the development team.

  • Manage and guide technical teams to build workflow applications using low-code and automation platforms.

  • Facilitate ongoing backlog prioritization and delivery adjustments, aligning with evolving client needs.

Serve as a Product Owner and Advocate:

  • Represent the clients visiontranslating high-level business needs into clear, detailed requirements and user stories.

  • Ensure that deliverables are aligned with long-term client objectives, not just short-term fixes.

  • Participate in roadmap planning to help clients evolve their platforms strategically over time.

Enhance Quality and Outcomes:

  • Assist with quality assurance (QA) testing, ensuring final products meet both immediate and future client expectations.

  • Analyze workflows and data to identify integration and automation opportunities.

  • Ensure clear and proactive communication between clients and technical teams, addressing roadblocks collaboratively.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

Experience managing development teams that build process-driven applications.

System thinkeryou understand how data flows through processes and can recommend optimizations. Problem solveryou can diagnose complex challenges and propose efficient, scalable solutions. Familiarity with low-code platforms (e.g., Quickbase, Mendix, Power Apps, Zapier, Make, OutSystems).

Ability to step in and perform functional testing and QA to ensure high-quality product delivery. Experience with DevOps, release cycles, and understanding of SOX compliance (a plus). Proficiency with JIRA or similar cloud-based project management tools.

Communication & Leadership:

Exceptional communication skillsyou effectively engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Strategic thought leadershipyou help clients define roadmaps and proactively recommend improvements. Empathy & adaptabilityyou understand client challenges and create tailored, win-win solutions. Your Experience:

10+ years in the software industry, managing projects, technical teams, and client relationships. Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager delivering client solutions. Proven success working with business customers to define and implement workflow applications. Familiarity with low-code development methodologies. Experience with software testing and QA processes. Strong background in software development planning and execution. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Ability to identify upsell opportunities and help clients maximize value.
