About you:

You’ll thrive as a Director, User Research if you:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in user research or related fields, including 3–5 years in leadership roles where you've scaled teams and delivered measurable business impact.

  • Demonstrate a track record of impact on complex, technical products through an extensive research portfolio and influence on high-stakes decisions.

  • Bring hands-on experience with a wide range of methodologies and a strong grasp of when to apply qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods to drive impactful insights.

  • Navigate ambiguity and fast-paced environments with ease, influencing stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and beyond.

  • Operate seamlessly at both the strategic and tactical levels, setting vision while diving deep into critical research when needed.

  • Communicate clearly and persuasively, with the ability to present research strategy and insights at all levels of the organization.

  • Thrive in remote, cross-functional collaboration, bringing others along through curiosity, empathy, and clarity.

  • Partner effectively with data science and analytics peers to align on problem spaces, triangulate findings, and strengthen product and business decisions.

  • Foster a culture of quality, inclusion, and user-centeredness while building and leading high-performing research teams.

Our Core Behaviors:

  • Obsess over customer experience. We deeply understand what we’re building and who we’re building for and serving. We define the leading edge of what’s possible in our industry and deliver the future for our customers

  • Move with heartfelt urgency. We have a healthy relationship with impatience, channeling it thoughtfully to show up better and faster for our customers and for each other. Time is the most limited thing we have, and we make the most of every moment

  • Say the hard thing with care. Our best work often comes from intelligent debate, critique, and even difficult conversations. We speak our minds and don’t sugarcoat things — and we do so with respect, maturity, and care

  • Make your mark. We seek out new and unique ways to create meaningful impact, and we champion the same from our colleagues. We work as a team to get the job done, and we go out of our way to celebrate and reward those going above and beyond for our customers and our teammates
