Red Canary is hiring a Director, Talent. This role will be a hybrid role in that it will act as a Talent Partner for the Business Operations team, Director of our Recruiting function, and serve as a Talent Project Manager for strategic HR initiatives. 

In this role, you will be responsible for aligning strategic objectives with people strategies, programs, processes and tactics across the team you support. You will also be responsible for driving the execution of company Talent related initiatives. Finally, you will lead a team of Recruiters to support Red Canary’s rapid growth plans.  You will coach and partner with employees at all levels, ensuring an exceptional experience through the entire employee lifecycle. The successful person has experience building, partnering and implementing meaningful change across a rapidly thriving organization. The Talent Partner will be a champion of Red Canary’s culture, values and employee experience by identifying and completing people programs that empower Canaries to innovate, scale, and grow.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic HR Business partner support to a team of employees and leaders in areas of organizational design, development including succession strategy, forecasting, talent calibration, talent development and employee engagement

  • Work closely with your business leaders and build a strong credible relationship with leadership operating as a trusted advisor and subject matter authority 

  • Ensure the business unit  culture is successful, collaborative, and inclusive to allow people to do their best work

  • Promote ongoing feedback mechanisms for employees and look for ways to create two-way dialogues between employees and management to ensure open and effective communications

  • Create and implement workforce plans, refine hiring forecasting capabilities, establish and report on key recruiting metrics to measure team effectiveness and provide data-driven and actionable insights

  • Develop recruiting strategies and programs that ensure an ongoing pipeline and diversity  of top talent to fill positions

  •  Analyze employee trends (i.e. turnover, employee relations issues, staffing challenges, etc.) to identify root causes. Design and implement proactive plans to address root cause issues

  • Lead, manage, hire, inspire, mentor and develop a best in class recruiting team in order to achieve our bold hiring plans that operates at a scale of efficiency 

  • Be responsible for the ATS and ensure adoption of all relevant functionality through communication and training for the recruiting team

  • Ensure candidate experience is a top priority and train employees to live up to our commitment of a positive experience for our customers. Rethink the Red Canary brand and the employee value proposition for new candidates

  • Drive Talent team  projects and strategic initiatives from onset to completion ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders

  • Build management of change approaches to successfully integrate new programs within organization

  • Partner with Talent Partners to understand key drivers within business to shape strategic initiatives

  • Partner with Talent Operations to support programs and processes that work within the scope of our systems and business units

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role

  • Experience creating and driving strategic initiatives successfully

  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resource subject areas including organizational design, recruiting, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation, diversity and inclusion, and employment laws

  • Strong discernment and a proven track record of being a thought partner for internal teams

  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business

  • Demonstrates change management and organization design experience

  • Demonstrates empathy and experience driving inclusion work

  • Experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams

  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action

  • Experience helping high growth organizations scale

Target Compensation Range: $130,000 - $155,000 + bonus and equity
