About Sydnexis: Sydnexis Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company united by a single purpose: helping children see clearly. We are developing a proprietary, stable, topical eye drop designed to slow the progression of myopia, a disease that affects more children today than ever before. Our team has filed a New Drug Application (NDA) with the FDA for our patented formulation, marking an important milestone in redefining the standard of care in pediatric eye health. At our core, we believe every child deserves the chance to see their world, and their future, with clarity. This belief drives us every day. When you join Sydnexis, you become part of a mission bigger than any one of us: to challenge outdated standards, disrupt the status quo, and deliver innovations that truly matter. Here, you’ll find a tight-knit, purpose-driven team building something extraordinary together, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children’s lives. Position: The Director of Sales Training will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales training strategy at Sydnexis in preparation for upcoming product launches and commercial expansion. This individual will lead the creation of training programs for the field sales team, focusing on disease state education, product knowledge, competitive landscape, selling skills, and compliance. As a key member of the Commercial Operations team, this person will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HR, and Compliance to ensure that the sales team is thoroughly prepared and highly effective. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales training strategy that aligns with brand objectives and goals for field readiness.

  • Design and deliver onboarding programs for new sales representatives, emphasizing disease state knowledge, selling skills, and company culture.

  • Create ongoing training content and curriculum, such as presentations for POA meetings, workshops, and digital modules, to support the continuous development of the field team.

  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to identify performance gaps and create targeted training interventions to address these gaps.

  • Lead training initiatives for new product launches, indication expansions, and competitive differentiation.

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Compliance to ensure messaging accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Utilize digital platforms and adult learning principles to enhance the effectiveness of training.

  • Develop metrics and assessments to evaluate the impact of training on field competencies and sales performance.

  • Oversee and manage external training vendors and content providers as necessary.

  • Act as a strategic advisor and coach to field leaders regarding training, messaging, and talent development.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA, MEd, or relevant scientific discipline) is preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, training, or commercial operations; experience in specialty care is preferred.

  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful training initiatives, including product launches.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN), and training technology platforms.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving biotech environment.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

This position is remote and requires occasional travel for business purposes. Sydnexis Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
