YOUR MISSION
MURAL is looking for a Director of Sales Operations & Strategy to join our Revenue Operations team. This role will lead the Sales Operations and Deal Strategy & Operations (Deal Desk) functions within Revenue Operations. In close partnership with Mural’s GTM Leadership, your mission is to enhance commercial productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness by defining, executing, measuring, and continually optimizing our go-to-market (GTM) strategy. You will report to Mural’s VP of Revenue Operations & Strategy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support our annual planning processes; partner with GTM leaders to define sales strategies and objectives aligned with our business goals; develop sales forecasts, targets, and resource allocations.
Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting for the sales organization; identify and present findings and recommendations to an executive audience
Build and maintain standardized reports and dashboards to provide GTM leaders with visibility into business performance
Own data quality, integrity, standardization, and controls that ensure accurate KPI reporting and forecasting
Design, assign, and refine sales segmentation and territories in collaboration with GTM leadership
Design and implement a GTM compensation structure that rewards performance and aligns incentives with our business goals, in partnership with Finance
Lead a team that assists with quote processes, pricing, and review of non-standard deal terms for compliance with policies; serve as a strategic partner to Sales on deal strategy
Implement and optimize programs, processes (e.g., lead management, quoting, forecasting) and tool-based workflows for the Sales team to enhance GTM effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency; find ways to automate processes
Manage and prioritize ongoing support requests, projects, and priorities; lead large-scale cross functional initiatives, partnering with teams across the organization (such as GTM Systems, Marketing, BizOps, Finance, Product)
Develop and lead an engaged and high-performing team; identify gaps in skill and experience and develop or hire, as necessary
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
10+ years of combined experience in Revenue Strategy/Operations, Management Consulting, or Finance/Banking
5+ years of experience in Sales Operations for a high growth B2B SaaS company
Experience building and leading a high performing team of 5+ direct reports
Demonstrated experience analyzing data to inform sales performance metrics and reporting
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sales compensation plans and incentive programs
Experience with sales tools and technologies (e.g., CRM, Sales Enablement, Sales Acceleration, CPQ, Forecasting)
Highly collaborative and customer-centric approach to working with Sales teams
Exceptional quantitative analysis and problem solving skills
Exceptional project management skills; experience leading high impact, cross-functional initiatives
Outstanding communication skills; experience collaborating with, presenting to, and influencing Senior Executives
Passion for continuous iteration and experimentation
You have experience in Finance or Management Consulting a plus
You have intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, preferred
For roles based in New York City, California, Colorado, and Washington, the base salary for this role ranges from $186,800 - $233,500 + equity + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation.
