Job Description

Tekion is going through an exciting time as we scale for the future. As the Director, Global People Operations, reporting to our Chief People Officer, you will set the vision and strategy for Global People Operations function by refreshing, innovating, and optimizing our People processes, and tools to create excellent manager and employee experience. We are seeking a strategic leader who has prior experience building from the ground up in an early stage, high-growth tech company.  This role will need to be capable of pivoting between high-level strategic thinking and vision setting and being the executor with a high level of accountability and a strong bias for action. 

Individual should have strong experience in a software company and building shared services and working with India.

This will be a remote resident role anywhere in the continental US. This role requires heavy experience in HR Operations with a global company. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Formulate and drive the long-range vision and the strategy for the HR Shared Service Center (“Operations”) of the future with a focus on employee experience, efficiencies, SLAs, reporting, and accuracy. Deep focus on creating an outstanding employee experience and memorable “moments that matter” for the employee journey.

  • Lead a team of global HR Operations professionals and enable them for success, while increasing the team’s capability in the areas of employee transactions, data entry/data accuracy and audit, global compliance, immigration and mobility, data analytics, benefits responses, and other core operations functions.

  • Serve as an integral member of the Human Resource Senior leadership team that is responsible to define and deliver on the enterprise HR strategy and support the company’s business objectives through HR operations.  

  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams on implementation of solutions. Disrupt status quo and identify process and compliance improvement opportunities.  Perform regular business process reviews to make ongoing suggestions and create action plans.

  • Manage the ongoing delivery of people processes and programs, setting objectives and timelines, tracking owners and achievements, and assessing progress and blockers.

  • Ensure that effective relationships with appropriate internal partners (e.g. finance, legal, security, etc.) and external vendors are established and leveraged to achieve stated objectives.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and other SMEs to facilitate the change management process after implementation of major process or systems changes.

  • Ensure proper checks and balances, segregation of duties and meet standard audit and security protocols.

  • Ensure all appropriate audits and compliance of processes, forms and system. Partners with internal/external audit teams for successful internal and external annual audits, owning remediation plans as required

  • Continuous improvement mindset. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work output and decisions.

  • Evaluate and optimize existing HR systems and processes and implement new systems and processes that move the organization forward.

  • Leverage metrics & analytics to inform and measure success and influence change.

  • Develop an innovative and scalable strategy and roadmap to optimize the people operations function globally.

  • Lead and own complex global projects and project management, change management initiatives, deliverables, and escalations.

  • Assess current state of our HRIS effectiveness, global processes, and tools.

  • In partnership with stakeholders, lead new entity creation and employee integration from PEO/EOR to Tekion entities or subsidiaries globally.

  • Ensure system and people processes are well documented, regularly updated, and end user trained.

  • Stay current with innovative HR practices and informed on best-in class practices to improve operations effectiveness, as well as local and regional compliance requirements to ensure alignment of operational service delivery and processes.

  • Create a high-performance culture including a consistent approach to service level agreements, key performance indicators, and performance reporting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in People operations or relevant HR roles 

  • People Operations within a software technology or development company 

  • At least 5+ years leading Global People Operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives in global, fast growing, newly public company environments

  • Successful HRIS/people systems with proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders and management team members 

  • Strong expertise in building out and managing shared services along with strong India experience

Preferred Skills

  • Strong service and delivery excellence mindset 

  • HR compliance and audit aptitude 

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills  

  • Project management and change management skills with proven ability to design and deliver clear processes and plans 

  • Ability to positively influence stakeholders, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills 

  • Detail-oriented problem solver 

  • Impeccable judgment and discretion always, especially when handling sensitive and confidential information 

  • Passion for continuous improvement and for driving effectiveness and efficiency 

  • Ability to direct the work of the team with clarity, delegating as appropriate 

  • Strength in knowing when and how to navigate both the strategic and tactical aspects of the position, rolling up your sleeves as required 

 

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.  In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. Base Salary Range

$135,975—$226,600 USD
