Kueski is seeking a seasoned technology leader to drive the transformation of our software engineering function, with a strong emphasis on mobile development. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader passionate about building world-class software solutions while fostering high-performing teams. As a key technical leader, you will define and execute the strategic vision for our software engineering teams, ensuring our products set industry standards for performance, security, and user experience. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other teams to create scalable and seamless software solutions that align with Kueski’s mission. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for software and mobile engineering, aligning with company objectives.

  • Establish and enforce best practices for software and mobile development, including coding standards, architecture, and security.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in software and mobile technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to drive innovation.

  • Guide teams in adopting new tools and technologies that enhance performance, scalability, and user experience.

  • Team Management

  • Lead hiring efforts to attract and retain top engineering talent.

  • Mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.

  • Define roles, responsibilities, and career growth paths for software engineers.

  • Build a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on excellence and innovation.

  • Project and Delivery Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of software applications, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and stakeholders to align development priorities with business objectives.

  • Manage resource allocation, sprint planning, and project timelines to optimize efficiency and execution.

  • Implement agile methodologies to improve development velocity, adaptability, and responsiveness.

  • Technical Strategy and Architecture

  • Develop and communicate the technical roadmap for software and mobile applications, ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate development frameworks, tools, and technologies.

  • Drive architectural decisions that enhance app performance, maintainability, and cross-platform compatibility.

  • Foster a culture of continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps practices.

  • Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and QA, to ensure seamless software development.

  • Communicate technical strategies, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership and stakeholders.

  • Advocate for software-first and mobile-first strategies while contributing to the overall product roadmap.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple engineering teams and delivering successful software applications.

  • Expertise in mobile development technologies such as Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, and cloud services.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, architectural principles, and agile methodologies.

  • Experience in software architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on delivering business value.

  • Familiarity with budgeting, resource planning, and organizational leadership.
