As part of our multi-year digital transformation journey, iHerb’ Integration and Core Services Group focuses on improving our current technology landscape and  future technology platforms with best-in-class integration architecture.

We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering, Integration and Core Services to lead our software engineering teams that are focused on a variety of critical back-office, supply chain and logistics systems. This role will collaborate with various business units, including Finance, Operations, Technology, and PMO to design and modernize iHerb’s systems across a variety of domains such as Order Management (OMS) and  Warehouse Management (WMS). In addition, this role will assist in creating IHerb’s Order-to-Cash modernization roadmap and introduce product governance to align with iHerb’s overall enterprise strategy and business metrics. This role requires strong technical skills across several key technology focus areas (ERP systems, integration and messaging patterns, databases, cloud platforms, security and compliance etc). You will also collaborate with functional teams to develop iHerb’s holistic supply chain technology landscape, accounting for key dependencies and potential synergies across various product roadmaps and platforms. This role reports directly to the VP of Engineering, Infrastructure and Global Data. 

Director of Engineering, Integration & Core Services - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a clear integration architecture vision and long-term strategy that meets iHerb’s strategic objectives and technology trends

  • Design and lead the implementation of integration platforms to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across disparate platforms

  • Responsible for integration of iHerb ecommerce platforms with third party applications and various other enterprise applications  

  • Lead program steering committee meetings comprised of Director/Sr Director/VP/C-Suite stakeholders

  • Ensure integration patterns and core services are in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements (Ex. data privacy)

  • Collaborate with iHerb’s PMO and EA groups to define enterprise architecture standards, systems integration patterns and adherence across all iHerb enterprise systems

  • Build strong relationships with business teams (Merchandising, Operations, Global Logistics etc) to promote effective collaboration and user adoption

  • Participate and lead technology vendor evaluations, selection process and proof of concepts, ensuring new solutions align with iHerb’s technology strategy in a cost-effective manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; Advanced degree (Masters or PhD preferred)

  • Experience (10+ years) with integration platforms and middleware (eg. MuletSoft, Boomi, BTP etc), preferably within e-commerce vertical

  • Experience mentoring and managing people leaders.  Ideal candidates will have experience leading organizations of 30+ team members within software engineering and product development.

  • Deep proficiency in enterprise application architecture including ERP, CRM, Supply Chain Systems

  • Experience with  designing and implementing Order-to-Cash solutions with leading business practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to distill complex technical concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders  

  • Strong understanding of data engineering and warehousing solutions and analytical tools

  • Strategic focus while bringing innovative solution and identifying areas for continuous improvement

  • Industry experience in eCommerce and Consumer Product Goods is a plus
