Director of Corporate Accounting
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Corporate Accounting who excels in a dynamic, hyper-growth environment to join our team and play a key role in developing our Corporate Accounting function. The Director of Corporate Accounting will bring a strong background in multi-entity global operations, technical accounting, and consolidated financial reporting, and a proven track record in scaling accounting processes across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. This role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments of the organization, including Sales, Product, and HR, both domestically and with Armada’s international entities.
Location. This role is remote-based in the continental United States.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure proper governance
Develop consolidated reporting workbooks to maintain consistency in reporting across subsidiaries
Conduct in-depth technical accounting research and resolve complex accounting issues to ensure US GAAP compliance
Prepare comprehensive, clear, and concise technical accounting memos to document the Company’s accounting positions
Collaborate with multiple key stakeholders to determine accounting for complex transactions, including equity, revenue, leases, consolidation, and cross-border transactions
Lead the implementation of new and complex accounting standards globally
Act as a deep subject matter expert and mentor to global finance team members on topics such as complex accounting transactions, accounting policies, new standards, and other technical matters
Manage the statutory reporting and compliance filings for international entities
Strategize and assist with international expansions to optimize tax efficiencies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting
Accounting Advisory experience or National Office tour in a Big 4 public accounting firm highly preferred
Experience with complex accounting transactions and technical GAAP research, including expert understanding of US GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718)
Experience working w/ multi-national entities and a strong understanding of consolidated financial reporting, including functional currency analysis
Experience working with tax teams on international tax structuring, including transfer pricing highly preferred
Proven successful project management skills. Ability to represent leadership on projects within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, finance teams, and middle management
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on ethical conduct and integrity
