About this Position:
The Director of Brand & Creative will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of our brand and creative strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and consistent representation across all marketing touch points. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong creative instincts and a hands-on approach to design, branding, and visual storytelling. You’ll lead a team of creative professionals, collaborating closely with content, communications, and marketing teams to produce high-impact, on-brand creative assets that support business objectives and drive engagement. A key component of this role will be optimizing creative workflows by leveraging modern design tools and AI software to enhance productivity, accelerate timelines, and drive operational efficiency.
What you'll do:
Brand Strategy & Positioning
Develop and execute the brand strategy, ensuring that our brand identity is clear, compelling, and consistently communicated across all marketing efforts.
Own the creation and evolution of the brand guidelines, ensuring that brand standards are adhered to across all internal and external materials.
Refine and reinforce the company’s visual identity, tone of voice, and key messaging across various channels, including digital, print, and experiential marketing.
Work closely with the leadership team to align brand positioning with business objectives, customer needs, and market trends.
Act as the internal champion for brand consistency, balancing the need for agility in content creation with the discipline of strong visual and messaging standards.
Creative Direction
Lead the creative vision for the company’s marketing materials, including digital assets, product packaging, email templates, social media graphics, print collateral, trade show booths, and more.
Guide the creative team to produce visually engaging and effective designs that resonate with our target audience, building strong emotional connections with customers.
Leverage modern design tools and AI software (such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AI-driven design platforms, and automation tools) to streamline the creative process, enhancing both speed and efficiency.
Develop and govern brand templates (presentations, one-pagers, event collateral, etc.) that scale across marketing, sales, and customer success.
Establish brand usage guidelines and guardrails within Canva to protect brand integrity while enabling creative flexibility for internal stakeholders.
Audit and refresh the brand library regularly to retire outdated assets, update visual elements, and ensure alignment with evolving brand positioning.
Enabling & Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams
Own and maintain the brand library and DAM of approved templates, logos, imagery, and design assets, ensuring the latest versions are always accessible to employees, partners, and agencies.
Manage and continuously improve Canva to empower cross-functional teams to create on-brand content independently while maintaining quality and consistency.
Partner with all marketing and enablement teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels, including digital campaigns, sales assets, social media, PR, and events.
Provide training, office hours, and playbooks to enable marketers, sellers, and other business partners to confidently use self-serve design resources.
Work with the event team to create on-brand experiences for both virtual and in-person events (conferences, webinars, etc.), ensuring cohesive messaging and visual identity.
Creative Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and inspire a growing creative team, including graphic designers, brand managers, and visual storytellers.
Set clear creative goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a collaborative, innovative environment within the team.
Manage creative workflows, ensuring timely delivery of all creative assets to meet deadlines for campaigns, product launches, and events.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying ahead of creative trends, exploring new design techniques, and utilizing AI-powered design tools to boost productivity without compromising creative quality.
Creative Campaign Execution
Oversee the design and production of large-scale marketing campaigns, including email, digital ads, website design, social media campaigns, product launches, and thought leadership initiatives.
Develop and execute compelling visual storytelling that brings to life key brand messages and supports business goals such as lead generation, customer retention, and product adoption.
Use AI-powered analytics to track creative performance, enabling real-time adjustments to designs based on engagement metrics and campaign results.
Performance & Brand Tracking
Monitor and report on the performance of creative assets, ensuring they are effectively supporting business goals and brand initiatives.
Analyze design trends, audience feedback, and campaign results to optimize creative strategies and output.
What we're looking for:
Minimum Requirements
10+ years of experience in brand management, creative direction, and design within a B2B, software, or tech company.
Proven success in managing and growing a creative team and developing brand strategies from the ground up.
Strong portfolio showcasing brand campaigns, digital marketing design, and visual storytelling across multiple channels.
Experience leveraging AI design tools (e.g., automated design tools, AI-driven platforms for content creation or design iterations) to improve creative workflows and deliver high-quality results efficiently.
Expertise in Brand Strategy: Deep understanding of brand positioning, visual identity, and brand equity.
Creative Leadership: Experience leading and inspiring a team of designers and creative professionals, fostering an innovative and high-performance culture.
Design Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Sketch, Figma, and other design tools.
AI & Automation Tools: Experience using AI-driven design tools to improve speed, streamline design workflows, and automate repetitive tasks while maintaining creative quality.
Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about brand direction, creative campaigns, and how they align with the company’s overall business objectives.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate creative ideas to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze the impact of creative assets on brand metrics, campaign success, and ROI.

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $164,000 - $205,000 plus variable compensation.
