Data Migration Specialist
Position Summary: We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist to be an integral member of the team. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter that can perform well independently, interact with clients professionally, and collaborate with diverse internal and external teams. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.Candidates should have a strong understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or SQL Server etc. and should be proficient in query languages - SOQL, and SQL. This position is 100% remote. Responsibilities:
Working with customers to developfunctional data requirements and technical data transformation plans
Demonstrate ability to learn and research advanced data technologies and concepts, learning new skills and software as necessary
Assess all risks and offer mitigation strategies, communicating impacts to project across multiple channels
Creating data migration logs to document results of data transformations and migrations
Ensure projects are on time
Participate internal and external meetings
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelors Degree in computer science, MIS, or related degree 2+ years Salesforce data migration experience
2+ years of data analysis experience, preferably with Salesforce
Salesforce Data migration using Jitterbit, Pentaho, or other similar ETL tools
Analysis of legacy data systems and design source to target data maps and migration plans
Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills
Preferred:
Salesforce Certified Administrator is desired but not required
Tools/Languages/Frameworks:
SharePoint, GitHub, Box, Dropbox, other file storage tools
SQL, SOQL, SOSL
