Data Analyst with Health Insurance Background (100% Remote - Multiple Positions)
We are looking to two candidates with the below skills set mentioned and experience for one of our major clients within the Health Insurance industry. These are 6-months contracting positions, open to Contract to Hire. Positions are 100% remote. Interested candidates may share updated resume to Carolina - OMG Technologies, Inc.
Position Summary:
Access and integrate data from the various client's systems (QNXT, Medlnsight, (pharmacy,etc.), create actionable management reports that can be used to analyze costs and quality, analyze results and identify opportunities to manage costs and improve quality. Report observations to manager, pointing out areas of concern inaccuracy, cost trends, and efficiency.
- Reporting- Creating and Running SQL/SAS queries.
- Documentation - Drafting BRD, RRD, SOP's, Supplemental Report Read Me guides (includes Reporting Approach, Observations, and data definitions- when applicable), Flow Chart.
- Visualizations- Tableau.
- Effort management: Facilitate meetings to gather additional reporting requirements, user requirements, status updates, providing clarification on requests to our support groups, occasional client surveying.
- New data exchange implementations.
- Customer service- our requestors are our customers
Responsibilities/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to be a self-starter, motivated, energetic worker with an interest in learning the healthcare system or other BI software.
- Knowledge of healthcare and prescription drug claims data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use data cubes to extract data and reports from Medlnsight.
- Basic level of programming is desired.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to abide by Molina's policies.
- Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers
Required Skills/Experience/Education:
- 2-4+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with MS Office applications required, especially strong Excel skill.
- Skill with SQL or SAS. Alternate programming experience may substitute.
- Experience with data management and analysis preferred.
- Must have strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Some experience in health care industry or pharmacy claims desired.
- BA or BS in Biostatistics, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, or Health Care or related field required.
- Experience in Healthcare to include knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or Marketplace.
Other job specifications:
- Employment Type: W2, Full Time Employment (FTE)/Contracting, CTH.
- Employment Length: 6+ months contracting with potential to becoming permanent.
- Job Location: Positions are 100% REMOTE, can be anywhere in the United States.
- Rate: Up to $55/Hour W2 depending on experience.
