Creative Strategist (Short-Form, TikTok Slideshows)
About the role
FeedBlast is hiring a Creative Strategist to turn ideas into scroll-stopping short-form videos and repeatable winners. You’ll own the creative pipeline end-to-end: research what’s trending, craft hooks and storyboards, oversee/perform quick edits, launch tests, read the data, and iterate fast. If you live at the intersection of virality, video editing, and data, this is your arena.
What you’ll do
- Find & frame winners: Research trends and competitors; translate insights into high-conviction hooks, and angles for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
- Write & storyboard: Produce concise scripts, CTAs, and test them against old winners.
- Edit & iterate: Most of our content generation is done by our platform, feedblast.ai, however, you should be ready to manually edit a video or two if needed
- Launch creative tests: Deploy structured A/Bs and multivariates at volume.
- Read the numbers: Analyze which of your videos is doing best & why.
- Systematize: Build playbooks, angle libraries, and naming/testing frameworks so wins are scalable—not one-offs.
- Collaborate: Work with editors, creators, and analysts; give crisp feedback that raises the bar for the whole pod.
What makes you a great fit
- Virality instincts: You can explain why a clip hits (hook, pattern interrupts, pacing, payoff), not just that it did.
- Editor’s toolkit: Comfortable making fast, clean cuts; subtitles, reframes, and meme-style overlays are second nature.
- Data-driven: You think in experiments; comfortable with basic stats (sample size, significance, lift) and cohort reads.
- Platform fluency: Deep familiarity with TikTok/IG/YouTube creative norms and what each algorithm tends to reward.
- Creative writing: You are fully fluent in the english language, bonus points if you have copywriting training.
- Attention to detail: You ensure mistakes are not made when working with clients. Include 'Attention' in the first sentence of your application.
- Ownership & speed: You move quickly, take responsibility, and improve the work without being asked.
Nice to have
- Paid social experience: Hands-on with Meta/TikTok/YouTube ad accounts or close collaboration with media buyers.
- Copywriting: Experience writing ad scripts, landing pages, VSLs, etc.
- Light analytics chops: Basic Excel/Sheets; bonus for Looker/Tableau or simple SQL—enough to self-serve insights.
