The team

Our global Compliance team is redefining how compliance should be done - we challenge the norms and practices of the incumbent industry participants to identify ways to make Compliance at Kraken a competitive advantage. Our teams navigate the regulatory uncertainty and changing policy positions of global regulators and governments to help chart a path that ensures Kraken is successful in a truly dynamic industry.

Kraken’s Global Sanctions Compliance team of Senior Investigators supports the Sanctions needs of Kraken and its global subsidiaries. The team of senior investigators is responsible for performing Sanctions Reviews in response to sanctions escalations generated across Kraken. Many of these escalations are generated as a result of Kraken’s robust framework of Sanctions controls (e.g., blockchain monitoring, name screening, transaction screening, anti-circumvention controls, account signup/maintenance rules, etc.) as well as escalations from internal partners and Kraken’s first line of defense (1LOD).  The team of senior investigators focuses on complex sanctions risks across Kraken’s global footprint.
