JOB DESCRIPTION
The Compliance Analyst will play an important role in advancing Green Dot’s pro-consumer ethos by supporting the Compliance Department through planned second-line testing and monitoring activities. The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for documenting and enhancing testing and monitoring processes, as well as, assisting in documenting baseline first- and second-line controls. This role will be a member of a dynamic and growing Compliance organization and reports to the Compliance Sr. Manager.
Responsibilities
• Perform planned and assigned second-line testing and monitoring activities related to specific and applicable regulatory areas
• Document scope, testing and/or monitoring activities, and outcomes in a memo or other agreed upon output
• Conduct planned and routine review of first- and second-line controls and assess quality and sufficiency for regulatory compliance
• Meet with relevant business unit management to communicate testing and monitoring plan and coordinate activities to prevent business disruption
• Collaborate with Compliance team and other relevant stakeholders as needed to provide and obtain support for testing and monitoring activities
• Identify opportunities to enhance policies, processes, documentation, and controls
• Identify issues during testing and monitoring activities. Communicate findings to business management and Compliance leadership and, when required, record as Compliance Issue for resolution.
• Maintain working knowledge of the major laws and regulations that govern the business by researching regulatory requirements, best practice standards and industry trends
• Analyze data related to testing and monitoring to identify patterns and trends and provide summary of results
• Support enhancements to ongoing reporting of key metrics to internal stakeholders, including senior management, Board Committees, and regulators
• Support the Compliance Department and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Compliance certification a plus)
• 1 – 3 years experience in Compliance, Law or Risk Management, preferably in a financial institution, payments organization, law or consulting firm or regulatory agency
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on courses of action
• Ability to prioritize and maintain focus on multiple tasks while working in a team environment with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth and dynamic environment
• Proven skills in relationship building and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to approach common problems.
• Proficient with MS Office Professional programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $57,500 to $86,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
