Cloud Solutions Engineer - Data & AI
The Cloud Solutions Engineer – Data & AI plays a critical role in delivering cutting-edge Azure Data Services solutions for Pax8’s Professional Services team. This role focuses on implementing Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouses, OneLake architectures, Azure SQL Database migrations, and Power Automate workflows. The engineer will work on behalf of Pax8 partners to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions to their clients, ensuring a seamless and value-driven experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery
Execute professional services engagements in alignment with defined scopes of work, timelines, and client expectations.
Implement and optimize solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, and Power Platform technologies.
Ensure technical excellence, documentation, and knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Solution Specialists (pre-sales engineers) to validate solution designs and technical approaches.
Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery and proactive communication.
Act as a technical liaison between Pax8, partners, and client stakeholders.
3. Continuous Learning & Innovation
Stay current with emerging Azure technologies and best practices.
Pursue relevant certifications and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Support the development of new service offerings and reusable solution components.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience delivering Azure-based data projects in client-facing roles.
Background in consulting or professional services, preferably within MSP or CSP environments.
Proven ability to assess customer environments, recommend architectures, and implement scalable solutions.
Technical Expertise

Lakehouse architecture and OneLake implementation
Integration with Power BI and Data Factory
Azure SQL Database
Migration from on-premises or third-party platforms
Performance tuning, secure configuration, and high availability setup
Familiarity with Azure SQL Managed Instance and Elastic Pools
Cloud Architecture
Proficient in Azure Resource Manager, networking, identity (Entra ID), and RBAC
Exposure to data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview
