JOB DESCRIPTION
The Cloud Security Engineer position will ensure financial technology products are built and designed securely, with a strong focus on protecting external-facing products. The ideal candidate must be proficient and experienced in building cloud security solutions in Microsoft Azure and have experience with protection tools such as Palo Alto firewalls, Prisma Cloud, and Microsoft Defender products and services.
Responsibilities
The focus is holistic in building secure cloud security solutions
Manages security tools such as next-gen firewalls, cloud security posture management tools, cloud network security controls, and endpoint protections.
Responsible for testing and evaluating system security configurations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Additionally, validates security of internally developed products.
May conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems, and networks.
Will coordinate with product owners, development and technology operations teams to ensure security is incorporated into new and existing processes.
May respond to cybersecurity breaches, identify intrusions and isolate, block, and remove unauthorized access.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of security solutions.
Requirements
4+ years in Information Technology/ 3+ in Information Security
Experience with cloud technologies with a focus n cybersecurity
Must be proficient with Azure compute, storage, and network services
Strong working knowledge of MITRE attack framework, Azure Security Best Practices, and PCI
Previous experience with attack surface reduction is a plus
POSITION TYPE
Regular
PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $104,900 to $157,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
