About the team: Goodnotes has expanded into millions of classrooms across the world, and we need a talented product and business leader to propel our growth and deepen our penetration. We imagine the classroom a more interactive environment where students and teachers are powered by Goodnotes to learn and teach more efficiently and effectively.
About the role:
As the team lead of the Goodnotes Classroom, you will be part of taking our new education product, Goodnotes Classroom, from 1 to 100 and soon infinity! You will be reporting directly into and working closely alongside our CEO and founder, Steven.
This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:
Define the strategy and roadmap for Goodnotes’ education product for the classroom
Lead a talented team of designers, technologists, and educators to build a differentiated product for the classroom of tomorrow
Leverage Goodnotes’ existing relationships with Apple, Google, and Microsoft as well as build new ones to drive product integration and distribution
Generate insights from different sources so that we can make decisions on priority, scope, requirements, and direction with confidence
Define, execute, and evaluate feature releases, so that the team knows why, how, when, and what we needs to be delivered
Test new features with students and teachers on a regular basis and provide feedback to the team so that we can maintain a high bar of quality
Represent Goodnotes at academic and business conferences to explain the USPs of Goodnotes Classroom
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, QA, and CS as well as peer product leaders in Goodnotes
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:
Track record of shaping and shipping meaningful products that have been transformational to its users
At least 10 years of experience in software product management and the education sector
Solid technical understanding and proven experience working closely with engineering teams. You don’t have to be an engineer but you should be able to think like one when it matters
Strong prioritzation and collaboration skills with a focus on hands-down work
Track record in coming up and shipping unique high leverage ideas from in-depth technical and product insights
Great story teller and communicator both verbally and in written form
Someone who’s comfortable in working with a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity
Experience in building products/features for large userbases (>500k DAU)
Experience going from 1 to 100 and beyond with a product-led growth product
Strong analytical and leadership skills
Preferably someone with a good understanding of the education systems across the world
