As a Business Development Associate - Strategic Partnerships, your primary focus will be to assist the partnerships team in establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with key technology providers in the hospitality industry and beyond. This role requires you to be creative, collaborative, and eager to tackle new grounds.
The focus of the partnership team is on growing and managing relationships with other technology & services companies (‘partners’), with the ultimate aim of providing a strong integrated technology offering to Cloudbeds customers. This usually involves having API integrations between us and our partners. We have recently partnered with the likes of Amadeus and IdeaS, and are keen to keep growing those relationships globally.
Location: Remote with a preference for candidates located in Mexico, Spain, or Portugal
What You Will Do:
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess the viability of potential new business and channel opportunities based on geography and other parameters;
Evaluate and prioritize all inbound partner requests for both marketplace and distribution partners
Identify, outreach, engage and develop new (and existing) partner relationships based on the Cloudbeds strategy, primarily in NorAm;
Manage smaller referral partner accounts under the supervision of the partnerships team
Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of key business objectives, channel revenue deliverable and related product enhancement initiatives;
You'll succeed with:
A Bachelor’s degree required
3-4 years of experience required within technology, and consulting, business development, account management, sales, digital marketing, project management and/or professional services experience
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the travel industry preferred, especially previous experience with travel technology products
Proven ability to develop relationships with both internal and external customers
Flexibility to work across multiple time zones
Excellent English oral and written communication skills, group presentation skills
Bilingual; fluency in English and Portuguese/Spanish/Italian/French preferred
Knowledge of and experience with Salesforce preferred
