Business Analytics Director
The Business Analytics Director is the financial expert within Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services. As a member of the Western Divisional Support Team, they support the Director of Mission Services and the Director of Cemeteries in driving analytical, financial and accounting initiatives. This role will maintain relationships with diocesan accounting personnel and become familiar with client accounting systems and processes. The Business Analytics Director is a part of the Divisional Support Team and reports directly to the Divisional Director of Mission Services.
This is a remote, work from home position, the ideal candidates would reside in the Western or Central Time Zone.
Position Requirements Include, but are not limited to:
Reporting and Metrics
- Utilizing diocesan or CFCS systems, ensure critical financial information is available to all the members of the Diocesan, Divisional, and Executive Teams.
- Analyze, Evaluate and Report on the following:
- Sales Reporting (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)
- Financial Statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Collaborate with peers across other divisions to develop CFCS standards in dashboards and reporting
- Schedule as directed, meetings with key internal / external leadership on reviewing client financial performance
Budgeting and Planning
- Drive the CFCS Budgeting Process on behalf of, and at the direction of, the Director of Mission Services and DOC
- Create Budgeting timelines and templates and assist Director of Mission Services in management of the process
- Advise Director of Mission Services and DOC through budgeting process
- Support the Director of Mission Services and DOC with the presentation of budgets
Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Work with peers across other divisions to develop best practices for all financial and business process topics
- Understands and maps diocesan / cemetery finance and business processes
- Identify opportunities for revenue performance and expense controls
- Drive implementation of the CFCS Inventory & pricing program, including competitive analysis
Implementation
- Serve as the leader on implementation of any financial systems
- Serve as the financial expert for any capital planning and deployment
- Serve as the business process and financial expert on any acquisitions, including due diligence
Administrative
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Divisional Director, DoCs and Chief of Staff on priorities
- Conduct meetings with each DoC to review their financial results and analytical opportunities, at least monthly
- Provide feedback to Divisional Director and Chief of Staff on team development around financial awareness
- Participate in nationwide initiatives, as requested
This is a remote, work from home position, the ideal candidates would reside in the Western or Central Time Zone.
Education and Experience
- College degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in business analytics
- Strong analytical and problem solving-skills and the ability to apply the skills to recommend simplified solutions to complex problems
- Self-starter with strong leadership skills
